The Northern Cancer Collaborative provides kaitiakitanga / guardianship of the Network, and is the forum for wider stakeholder participation into the Network direction and focus. By coordinating and providing stakeholder advice and recommendations to the Network Executive Group, and overseeing the development of the regional strategic plan and annual work-plans for the Northern Cancer Network in order to achieve the Network vision.
Key responsibilities:
The group takes a monitoring role in ensuring regional implementation of the Cancer Control Strategy and is responsible for reviewing the Network's one year after establishment.
- To liaise with national cancer bodies
Membership: The group is region wide and represents the care continuum. The members are selected either via a nomination and selection process for their skills and expertise, or as representatives of the various stakeholder forums. The Chair is independent and also identified through a nomination and selection process.
Meeting frequency: The Collaborative meetings are held two monthly on the 3rd Friday of the month:
