Graphic kindly voluntarily donated to the project by Spitfire.
With this graphic depiction of the model we have tried to capture that patients and whanau are at the heart and centre of care. The Guiding Principles aim to insert the voice of patients and whanau with expectations of the care they will receive. The Overaching Themes also reflect principles of care which need to be present from the start through to the very end of a journey with cancer.

On-Line Cancer Care Services Directory - Now Live!
We are very pleased to announce that the Northern Region Cancer Care Services directory is now live on the internet, and our sincere thanks go out to everyone who has been involved in the work behind the scenes to make this happen. The directory provides cancer patients with easy-to-find and specific information on cancer support services from Mercer to the Far North, including services that provide support during cancer diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation, care and survivorship. It is a single point for patients, family and whanau, carers and health professionals to find out what support care services are available near where they live and work.
The directory is located on the Healthpoint website: www.healthpoint.co.nz
Choose the tab on the left "cancer support". Here you can search for information either by the type of service an organisation provides, or by cancer tumour type, or by geographical location.
We urge you to look at the directory and tell others about this fantastic resource for anyone needing easy-to-find information on cancer support services.
If you are an organisation that provides cancer specific services to patients or their families/whanau and would like to be listed on our directory, please contact Petrina Francis: petrina.francis@ndsa.co.nz
