The Maori Leadership Group(MLG) is established to provide guidance and advice to the NCN that is grounded in tikanga (best practice) and kaupapa Maori (traditional methodologies). - leadership and advice that ensures reducing inequalities is a focus in all activities
- advice and guidance on the development of the regional cancer control strategic plan and annual plan
- advice and guidance on the activities of the operational Work Streams (mapping patient journey).
- Discuss and provide advice and direction with respect to National Cancer Control activities
- Determine the appropriate priority of issues that may arise and establish the relevant working groups to ensure a resolution is developed
- Make recommendations to the NEG on matters of priority
The next MLG meeting is scheduled for the 27th May 2009.
