Reducing Inequalities with regard to cancer is a leading Network goal. Through new funding made available to the Regional Cancer Networks by the Ministry of Health (MoH) the Network was able to scope a high level project and recruit a dedicated Project Manger to identify and lead a number of initiatives that will contribute to a reduction in inequalities. The project scope and position description were undertaken in conjunction with the three other regional cancer networks in the interests of ensuring a consistent approach.

Phase one of the project involves undertaking a situational analysis to collate evidence from a number of sources and reports to enable prioritised actions to be identified. The Network will then facilitate the development and implementation of these activities in phase two.
